JOB OFFER

Our technology's teacher told us that we could participate in a project. We accepted quickly, because it seemed interested for us. Then, we browsed on internet the website http://www.stem4youth.eu/ and we saw in the subjetcts' tab there was engineering, we love it!!! As we are too many students in our class, we were divided in groups, which people that want to do the same subject project. After, when the groups were made up, we choosed one of the options that we had in the engineering subject. The option we choosed was water rockets because it was an amazing project and we thought it was an unusual job . This offer consisted in design this water rocket with materials that we bought by ourself or our teacher lent us. The water rocket use a plastic bottle as the motor and the water is impulse by compressed air what drives the rocket according to Newton's 3rd law.

MANUFACTURING PLAN

First of all we introduced the rod in the wood, using nuts and washers.

We tied the 4 metal strips with plastic bridle. Then, we sticked the valve to the bottle cap with silicone.

After that, we cut the wood, in pieces of 40 cm x 30 cm, so that it was not too big and could bother us throughout the project.

We made a support of wood to stabilize the project and start to use it.

The third step was cutting the metal srip with holes in pieces of 60cm each one. After that we did holes in the wood to put in the metal trip after.
