INTRODUCTION

The Victorian society was divided into nobility Upper Class, Middle Class and the working Class. The Upper Class was in powerful position giving them more privileges.

LIFE OF VICTORIAN UPPER CLASS

Many Aristocrats did not work as for centuries because their families had been gathering money for each generation to live better,but there were a lot of aristocrats who managed large industries like mining. In education the best teachers were for the rich families. In summary, they could do things that poors could not do.

VICTORIANS MIDDLE CLASS LIFE

The middle class was the next in social ranking and they owned and managed vast business empires .the industrial revolution in mid-century brough about drastic changes like: more job opportunities and earn decent living.

VICTORIAN WORKING CLASS

The lowest in the social hierarchy were the working class. This class couldn´t participate in the political progress and they were hostile to the other two classes. Due to the revolution, the industrial workers got jobs thus improving their living conditions. They live so bad that some families required their children to work to bring home some extra income. If the father dies, the rest of the family were forced to live in the streets or in a public housing.

The Women in Victorian society:

The revolution gave money an opportunity to work and earn money, and thus have a better life. Their lives were no longer restricted to the house and children.

Child Labor in Victorian society:

The families lived so bad that they were forced to send their children to work and bring some more money. However, the children were underpaid and their living conditions were hardly improved.

Victorian era society: Politics

The English government under the rule of Queen Victoriawas a monarchy which also comprised of a Parliament. The Parlament was a Bicameral legislatura which consisted of The House of Lords and The House of Commons. In the initial years of the Victorian period, there were the Conservatives(who dominated the political field throughout the Victorian reign) The Whiga were in favor of growth of the Parliament and wanted to restrict the royal power. Tores, the other dominant party was in favor of monarchu. Their view about voting was apposie to that of Whigs. Tories believed that only those men who were rich and owned large plots of land should have the right to vote.
